Our Story

Welcome To Mejor Hunting

Mejor Hunting is the result of many years of hunting.  We have been hunting since the 1940’s and 50’s when pay-to-hunt first began in the State of Texas.

Mejor Hunting is all about Hunting.  We are here to give you, the hunter, a great life experience.

But we are more than that.  We are about managing the different herds and always striving to improve the herds future.

We also manage the land, tending to the different grasses and plants, ensuring that the animals continue to stay established by providing quality natural feed for the wildlife, while controlling invasive plants and cedar.

We don’t hunt everyday but are at the ranch 360+ days a year working and tending to the ranch, but we look forward to seeing each and every hunting group at the ranch and want to make it the best experience we can make for you.

Only the Best

Best Hunting.  Family Owned.

Our heritage, in Edwards County, goes back to 1882 when this land was first settled.  Our Great Grandfather had a flock of sheep, which were bedded down each night, where the current School and Football Field are located today, in Rocksprings, TX.  Our Forefathers hunted and ate wild game, raised hogs and chickens, milked cows.  They planted small fields to grow corn that was freshly ground at the old horse drawn mill for flour.

As you can see, our Family is part of this land.
